MS Dhoni is India’s Successful Captain: Saurav Ganguly

Former Captain of Indian Cricket Team, Saurav Ganguly praises Mahindra Singh Dhoni for awarding more number of victories for Indian Team in Test Series. He said, 22 victories in Test Series are not an easy task to do.


Ganguly evinced his faith that Indian Team lead by Dhoni is moving towards great achievements. Dhoni made a record as the Indian Team Captain who brought more victories to Indian Team in Test Matches after defeating Australia in the Second Test Match in Hyderabad yesterday. Previously Ganguly was holding the record by winning in 21 Test Matches.

In Ganguly’s captaincy India played totally 49 matches, won 21 matches, failed in 13 matches and 15 resulted in draw. Ganguly appreciated Dhoni for breaking his captaincy record. He stated that, Dhoni led India in 45 Test Matches facing 22 Victories, 12 Failures and 11 Draws.

In year of 2009 and 2010 Dhoni was Selected as a Captain for ICC Test Match Team. The 31 year Mahindra Singh Dhoni, who already had record of Two World Cups, one in T-20 (2007) and other in ODI (2011), now came up with a new record of winning 22 matches being a captain of Indian Cricket Team.
